Elyssa Vega studies at the University of Houston and will graduate with a BFA in Dance in Spring 2020. In 2017, she studied abroad at Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica working with the university’s dance students and company. She has been a member of the Ensemble, Young Audiences Touring Company, and recently began an apprenticeship with Psophonia Dance Company, under the direction of Sophia Torres. She recently performed in her evening length Colony this past October. Vega’s first choreographic work entitled Exulansis debuted in 2018 at UH Goes to the Match and she recently completed her second work MUAH. When not in school, she enjoys teaching and setting choreography at studios within the Houston area.
